Image Linemarking has a range of equipment to suit your paint needs, from walk-behind line stripers, truck mounted paint machines, through to purpose-built, high volume paint machines. Utilising APAS certified roadmarking paints, we can provide linemarking services from a simple carpark to major road construction and everything in between. Image can provide a range of linemarking paint colours to suit your needs. Image Linemarking is VicRoads prequalified at G2-LM Lever to install all Painted markings.
Image Linemarking has an extensive capability to deliver your longlife treatment needs in both linemarking and roadmarking applications. We have several purpose-built machines with dedicated supply trucks designed to apply high volumes of thermoplastic to roads. We also have dedicated roadmarking teams to install treatments such as preform logos, cold applied plastics and methyl methacrylate products for high friction coloured treatments. All longlife products installed by Image Linemarking are APAS certified. Both white and black thermoplastic are standard offerings, but we can provide other colours to suit your needs. Image also offers white and black Audio Tactile treatments. ATLM treatments are used to warn drivers they are moving outside lane limits in high risk areas. ATLM treatments are only available in longlife materials. Image Linemarking is VicRoads prequalified at G2-LM Lever to install all Long Life Markings.
Image Linemarking offers several methods of linemarking removal, such as paint and longlife blackout, grinding and water blasting. There are some conditions that must be considered when deciding which method to undertake, such as the road surface, the duration removals are required to last for and who owns the asset. It may be best to speak with our team if you are unsure of the best removal method for your project. VicRoads’ preferred method of long-term removal is via water blasting. Image linemarking owns two purpose-built waterblasting units and can cater to large volumes of removal where required. Image is VicRoads prequalified at the G2-STW level.
Coloured Surface Treatment (CST) is used to provide both a high-grip and high colour-impact solution to road areas that are required to be differentiated from normal traffic areas. These are areas such as dedicated bus or bike lanes, or where areas of pedestrian activity need to visually stand out while offering a non-slip surface. Image offers a range of coloured surface treatments using APAS approved, anti-skid methyl methacrylate (MMA) resins with inbuilt hardwearing aggregates. These products are free of heavy metals and solvents as per VicRoads standard section 431 and pass Skid Resistance testing method RC421.02 Image Linemarking is VicRoads prequalified at G2-LM Lever to install all Coloured Surface Treatments to VicRoads Section 431 All products used by Image Linemarking are able to be driven on within 30 Minutes ( Not 4 Hours ) this creates less disruptions to all road users.
Raised reflective pavement markers (RRPMs) and raised pavement markers (RPMs) are used on road surfaces to help keep traffic in their lanes during day use. Reflective markers additionally create delineation of lanes and provide guidance during day and night use. All RRPM and RPM placements should be performed using VicRoads specifications. Our team are trained to understand these requirements and assist you to comply for your project. Image Linemarking is VicRoads prequalified at G2-LM Lever to install all types and colours of Raised Reflective and Non Reflective Pavement Markers.
Retroreflectivity essentially refers to a light source reflecting back to the direction in which it came. Reflective linemarking is important to assist drivers to identify road markings at night. VicRoads set certain reflectivity conditions that all pavement markings on their assets must meet. All retroreflectivity testing equipment must be periodically calibrated in a laboratory to ensure they comply with VicRoads reflectivity regulations. Image Linemarking has two Swiss-manufactured Zehntner reflectometers that are independently calibrated in line with regulations. We can test any linemarking that must meet retroreflectivity conditions and provide a report. Per VicRoads Standard (s.721), these tests must be conducted within two different time frames (measured from when the final coat of material has been laid): test one at 3-5 weeks and test two at 5-6 months.
When performing any linemarking task, we need to take into consideration factors such as road temperatures, dew point and moisture levels. Linemarking products can only be installed within tolerances and conditions set by manufacturers. Any deviation from those conditions can affect treatment durability and warranty. Where projects are very time-sensitive, we offer our road dryer/heater to mitigate some of those weather conditions on temporary markings only. If road conditions are affected by weather, our 2 VicRoads certified, gas certified, third party risked accessed and fully insured road dryers can assist in raising road temperatures or drying sections of road that have been affected by light showers. This offering can help keep your project on track
Image Linemarking are a 3M Australia Reflective Certified Partner and is qualified to offer 3M StamarkTM linemarking tapes. Stamark is a product offering to the linemarking industry providing highly visible lane delineation, even in the wet. Image has equipment designed to assist in placing rolls of Stamark tape onto road surfaces and tamping carts to further assist in bonding Stamark tape to road surfaces. Image Linemarking is VicRoads prequalified at G2-LM Lever to install all 3M Tapes.
High-friction surface treatment (HFST), is a specialised lane treatment that is applied to asphalt, concrete roads and highways to improve surface friction and to cover flush seal problems within the road network. Image Linemarking only uses materials that have been approved and tested by APAS (CSIRO). These products are free of heavy metals and solvents as per VicRoads standard section 430 and pass Skid Resistance testing method RC421.02 HFST decreases braking distances, skidding and sliding, assisting drivers and motorcycle riders to retain control on urban and rural roads. The materials used by Image Linemarking for HFST are fully-compliant APAS (CSIRO) with the most stringent road surface standards in each State and Territory. All products used by Image Linemarking are able to be driven on within 30 Minutes ( Not 4 Hours ) this creates less disruptions to all road users
